What happens if the license expires
HACCP record-keeping is a legal requirement for your business. That is why Qhalix takes on, as a contractual commitment -- not a technical detail -- that you will never lose access to your own history over a missed payment:

| Active | Everything works normally. |
| Expired, within the grace period (14 days) | Everything keeps working, with a persistent warning in the app. |
| Grace period exhausted | Creating new records is blocked. Viewing and exporting your history is ALWAYS available, with no exception. |
The service
Qhalix is a HACCP management system for professional kitchens that runs on the kitchen device without depending on a connection: the network is only needed to activate and renew the license. Activating a device with a license key means you accept these terms.
License and account
Licensing is per device: each kitchen tablet or PC running Qhalix uses its own license, regardless of how many sites, brands or companies your organization runs.
The subscription is billed monthly, with recurring automatic payment. You manage the number of active licenses based on how many devices you operate.
Billing
Subscription charges are processed through a payment gateway (Stripe or Paddle, depending on the active method); Qhalix does not store card numbers.

Acceptable use
You are responsible for the accuracy of the HACCP records you enter: Qhalix is a record-keeping tool, it does not replace your responsibility as a food business operator.
You may not use one device's license key on another device without authorization, nor attempt to bypass license verification.
Availability

Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, Qhalix is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service. [PENDING: data from the account holder -- legal review 👤-P4, see specs/09-marketing-web/tasks.md] -- quantitative liability caps, if any are set.
